Tom Keane, Corporate Vice-President of Azure Global

Tom Keane is responsible for Azure Global. It includes all first-party Azure services like Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, and App Services. Tom Keane has been with Microsoft for over 20 years in various leadership roles, including most recently as the head of program management for the Windows Server and System Center product group. 

 

Tom Keane has a deep technical background and passion for cloud computing. Before his current role, he was the general manager for the Windows Server and System Center product group. In this role, he was responsible for the overall engineering process and roadmap for both product lines. Tom has also held various positions in the Online Services Division.

 

Here,  he ran engineering for large-scale consumer services like Hotmail, MSN, and Bing. Tom Keane has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Also, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Duke University. Tom is a frequent speaker at industry events and has been awarded several patents for his work in distributed systems and cloud computing.
